Farming Organically to

Revolutionize Kitchens

Do you love to cook? Do you like to eat adventurously? Do you know what a ground cherry tastes like or would you be willing to eat one if dared? If so, come learn, work, and grow with us in FORK, Farming Organically to Revolutionize Kitchens.

This semester we will design, plant, and grow organic food in the new school garden. Be ready to put your hands and your sneakers in the dirt. Our theme is migration, and we will be examining where our food comes from and its relationship to people and culture. We’ll be learning about immigration from multiple perspectives, including individual, legal, historical, and contemporary.

We will also volunteer at Glide Memorial and interview people about their travels and their relationships to food. We’ll be growing food on campus and at Alemany Farms, cooking with 18 Reasons, and learning more about nutrition and creating healthier meals.

If you want to learn how to plant, grow, harvest and cook food, then join FORK this semester.
